On Monday February 28th Mook who is 25 years old left Harris Middle School to drop off her daughter Lily at her ex husbands house in Bedford County. Later that evening Police found her Pontiac Grand Prix on fire on the side of the road in Rutherford County.
Wednesday morning Shelly was meant to be at work and she never turned up. Friends became increasingly concerned and reported her missing later that day.

Shelleys mother Debra Sikora spoke to media saying that ” She visited her daughter to help her move, and then on Monday I went to go back to Pennsylvania. When I arrived back in Pennsylvania I tried to call my daughter Monday afternoon and evening.Tuesday i tried to call her and then Wednesday I called the school and found out that she hadn’t reported for school.” she then added ” I got a call from my brother on Wednesday, i then proceeded to drive down to Tennessee. I drove all night and came into town early in the morning hoping that she would be back at her apartment. When she wasn’t there i went to the police station. Later in the afternoon I was told that they found her car.”
The father is not allowing Shelleys mother to visit her granddaughter and there are reports that while Shelley was married to her husband there were acts of violence committed.
A vigil was held on Sunday night with over 100 people showing up outside the Bedford County Courthouse to bring attention to this case.
There is a $10,000 reward that can lead to the safe return of Shelley Mook.
